Craft City Food & Art Tour 2020

To ensure the safety of our community and to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Center for Craft has temporarily suspended our public programming, including our Craft City Food & Art Tour schedule for spring/summer 2020. Following state and federal recommendations, the Center looks forward to announcing 2020 tour dates as soon as possible.

We can't share our favorite local brews, craft cocktails or handmade wares with you right now, but we hope you'll consider supporting our 2019 tour partners during this unprecedented time! Where will the tour meet and where do I park?
‍While the Center for Craft is closed for construction, Craft City Food & Art Tours will begin at Blue Spiral 1, located at 38 Biltmore Ave. in downtown Asheville. Public parking is available in a parking deck located on the same block. Metered street parking is also available.

‍Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
Yes! Tickets must be purchased at least 24-hours in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased online at craftcitytours.eventbrite.com with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card.

‍What is your cancellation policy?
‍Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable, as they guarantee your spot on the tour. Last minute cancellations may be accepted in regards to emergencies. Should this occur, ticket purchaser has up to one year of purchased ticket date to use their ticket for another Craft City Food & Art Tour.
‍
‍Can children come on the tour?
‍At this time, tours are limited to adults only, ages 21+.

How much food is served on the tour?
‍A typical tour offers 3-4 stops for food tastings on the tour. For most people, there is enough food to make a meal.
‍
‍What if I have dietary restrictions?
‍We can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Please note any dietary restrictions in the comment section when you purchase tickets.
‍
‍Are there vegetarian options on the tour?
‍Yes. We are able to accommodate specific vegetarian requests. Please note your specific requirements (vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, etc…) in the comment section when you purchase tickets.

‍Are there kosher options on this tour?
‍Unfortunately, we do not offer kosher foods on this tour.

‍What beverages are on the tour?
‍Stops on the tour may include beer, wine, coffee, tea, cocktails, etc. Water is available through out the tour stops.

‍Can I take pictures and video on the tour?
‍Yes! You can even share them with us or tag us on social media @centerforcraft #craftcitytours.

‍Can we shop on the tour?
‍We request that you save your shopping until after the tour and use your Craft City Passport.

‍What if it’s raining on the day of the tour?
A little rain doesn’t slow us down. Tours take place rain or shine. Be sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately.

‍Are there restrooms available during the tour?
‍Yes, there are restrooms available during the tour.

‍Can I schedule a private tour?
‍Private tours for parties of 6 or more are available year round. 2-4 months advanced notice preferred. Please contact us at 828-785-1357 or info@craftcreativitydesign.org for availability.

EACH TOUR INCLUDES
• Food and beverage tastings – enough to make a meal for most.
• Guided tour of local art galleries and exhibitions.
• Craft demonstrations.
• Craft City Passport, including discount for return visit to merchants. —

TOUR DETAILS
• Tours meet Saturdays at 3pm at Blue Spiral 1, 38 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801.
• Each tour is approximately three hours long.Tours are held rain or shine.
• We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
• Keep in mind there will be stairs to climb and sidewalk inclines without handrails.
• We are able to make some dietary substitutions if informed in the comment section when you purchase tickets.
• Tours are contingent upon a minimum of four reservations. If the minimum number of reservations are not made the tour will be canceled and all tickets purchased will be refunded.
• Tours are capped at 10 participants to ensure an intimate tour experience.

POLICIES
• Tour groups may range from a minimum of four people to a maximum of twelve people. In the event of a last-minute cancellation that brings a group total below four, the tour will run as planned. If a scheduled tour is unable to reach the four-person minimum, all registered tour guests will be notified within 24 hours of the scheduled tour. Guests will be offered to re-book for a later tour date or can opt to be fully refunded.

• Tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours before tour start, 3:00 pm the day prior. + Tour tickets are non-refundable. Should a registered tour guest cancel, tickets are valid for a tour within one year of original tour date. A ‘voucher’ is presented to the canceling guest that should be included when re-registering for a future tour in the ‘notes’ portion of the tour registration.

• Private tours are available upon request with 4-6 months advance notice. Private tour groups must accommodate public tour requirements (4-12 guests). We do not offer tours in the morning (cannot accommodate restaurants’ schedules), and Saturday tours are preferred. Private tours must be paid in full within one-month advance of tour date. No cancellations, no refunds.

• Alcoholic beverages are served on this tour, and all tour guests must be of legal drinking age- 21+ years. All guests are required to sign a release before beginning the tour that details NC and Federal Drinking Laws. Please drink responsibly. Craft City Food & Art Tour Guides reserve the right to disqualify a guest at any time during the tour.
