Frequently asked questions

How do I join?

Please fill out this form online to request a tour of our coworking space. We’ll show you around, answer your questions, and let you get a feel for things before helping you select a Cowork plan.

Who can join?

Cowork at Center for Craft is tailored to the needs of Asheville’s creative sector. We welcome fellow creatives, makers, students, designers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and the businesses and services that support them.

How much does it cost?

We are excited to offer Cowork Plans to meet a variety of needs – there really is something for everyone! For those visiting or passing through Asheville, Day Passes are available for $35 per day, Flex Plans in our shared Assembly Hall are $200 per month, and our Anchor Desk Plans are $300 per month.

Join us for Flex Days! We're offering a new $10 or Pay-What-You Wish pricing model on our Day Passes every Thursday from 10-6. Space is limited to 5 Day Passes per Flex Day and will be honored on a first come or first reserved basis.

Center for Craft offers a 25% discount to students on Flex Plans with a valid .edu email address. To sign up with a student discount please email cowork@centerforcraft.org.

Can I use the meeting/event rooms in the space?

Yes! Each Cowork plan includes a specified number of monthly hours in our small or large conference rooms. If you manage to use all your allotted hours, we offer coworkers a 50% discount on daytime bookings. We’re also thrilled to provide unlimited use of three privacy rooms, which can be used by new mothers, for your private phone calls, or a moment of quiet time.

Is parking available?

Center for Craft has a limited number of onsite parking spaces available for a monthly fee. Email cowork@centerforcraft.org to check on availability.

Other parking options include hourly metered parking along Broadway Street and a paid parking lot across the street (next door to the Masonic Temple). The City of Asheville also provides hourly or monthly parking at the Civic Center Garage and the Rankin Avenue Garage.

My dog/cat/rabbit is really sweet. Can I bring them to work with me?

As much as we love pets, we are unable to allow them in our space. While the coworking space is on the second floor, animals threaten the integrity of our first floor galleries and other exhibits.

What is your COVID-19 response?

Cowork at Center for Craft continues to monitor the effects of COVID-19 on the community and following the instruction of federal, state, and local health departments. Our top priority is always the health and safety of our staff, coworkers, and visitors.

Masks may be required for entry and shared spaces depending on levels of community spread.

Frequent hand-washing and hand-sanitizing is encouraged. Sanitation Stations are located throughout the space to encourage coworkers to clean and sanitize after using shared spaces.

Coworkers are asked to maintain a safe distance of 6+ feet from others when navigating through the space.

Coworkers, staff, and visitors who are experiencing symptoms or who have been medically diagnosed with COVID-19 within a specified time frame are asked to follow health guidelines and remain offsite.

Cowork is cleaned professionally twice a week and high contact areas are cleaned daily by staff.

Please contact cowork@centerforcraft.org with questions and concerns.
