Craft Can is a virtual program organized by the Center for Craft exploring seven, interdisciplinary stories about where craft can go and what craft can do. Join artists, curators, thinkers, and makers for an evening of inspirational projects and moving personal stories. Presenters will explore themes of circulating value, community building, agency and accessibility, de/construction of systems, technology and innovation, expansiveness of craft, and inclusive craft histories.
These seven areas were identified through the Center for Craft's 2021 Craft Think Tank, which engaged individuals from a wide range of fields – science, humanities, health, design, and the arts – to collaborate with craft artists, leaders and innovators. Proceedings from the Craft Think Tank are available here.
Speakers to be announced shortly.
