We are back with another Meet a Maker Monday: a series where we learn and share all about the talented creatives working in Cowork at Center for Craft! Today we would like you to meet Tessa Fontaine, a writer and author of "The Electric Woman: A Memoir in Death-Defying Acts".

What inspires you?

Curiosity, empathy, people's wild lives, the world's beautiful weirdness

How does creativity play into your work?

Creativity is crucial in any kind of writing - it's never just what I'm saying, but how I'm saying it, and when, and why.

How has Cowork at Center for Craft helped you?

I love learning about other projects coworkers are invested in, and the light-filled space feels great. Plus, coffeeeeee.

What song, author, YouTuber, podcast, activity, etc. gets you out of a creative funk?

Running, walking my pup, reading Lauren Groff or Ross Gay.

What advice would you give your 16 year old self?

Don't try so hard to figure it all out right now. Say yes to everything that comes your way.

What is your latest project?

I'm working on edits for my forthcoming novel (tentatively titled RED GROVE), set to be published by FSG in 2023. It's spooky!
