Mullen set out to advance their work in puppet making for stop-motion animation. I will use the Windgate Fellowship to advance my work in puppet making for stop-motion animation. I plan to participate in a workshop at MASS MoCa focusing on traditional carving techniques for wooden puppets as well as travel to Prague to study contemporary Czech puppet animation. During these workshops, I will learn how to weld an armature, latex mold making, and wood carving techniques. After the workshop, I will rent out studio space, buy materials, and collaborate with other artists to handcraft my puppets and sets and bring them to life through film.
