Maddison grew up in a small town in Colorado, first discovering clay in high school. She went on to receive a BA in Ceramics from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. After graduating Maddison spent the summer at Touchstone Center for Craft in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Following her time at Touchstone, Maddison relocated to western North Carolina where she is currently an Artist in Residence at Odyssey ClayWorks in Asheville.
