Bio of the Artist

Organization Background

Carolina Rojas is a sculptor and ceramic artist whose work explores the intersection of form, texture, and narrative. Originally from Venezuela and now based in Western North Carolina, Carolina’s artistic practice draws inspiration from nature, personal memories, and cultural storytelling.

Through Cariku Art Lab, her creative studio, Carolina not only develops her own sculptural work but also fosters a collaborative space for artistic exploration, teaching workshops and encouraging community engagement through hands-on experiences. Her work ranges from abstract ceramic forms to functional art pieces, all infused with a deep connection to materials and process.

Carolina’s commitment to craftsmanship and creativity has led her to exhibit her work in galleries and participate in collaborative projects with other local artists and community organizations. As the founder of Cariku Art Lab, she is passionate about nurturing curiosity and creativity in others, believing that art has the power to build connections and inspire personal and collective growth.
