The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed an existing issue embedded into our current education system. The achievement gap between white and Black kids is tremendous. Due to Covid-19 that gap will be exacerbated with the extended time out of the classroom. The shift to digital learning negatively impacted many children but none so much as Black children. It is their parents that were the essential employees, Many Black children did not have the tools to get online and for those that did, their parents werent home to monitor. Our STEAM kits keep kids learning offline, at home, at no specific time.
