This proposal supports research for the exhibition "Stitching Identities: Portraiture in Contemporary Textile Art" which explores the notion of identity in portraiture and figuration within textile and will feature a diversity of artists representing a range of fiber work that allows audiences to see themselves represented within the context of the museum.
