2018
Danielle planned to become a member of artist associations subscribe to different art associations; like the Textile Society of America, and the Surface Design Association and attend a workshop through Penland School of Craft. They would then purchase equipment for their studio and develop new ideas and techniques from their experiences.
The Windgate Fellowship will allow me to continue to experiment with, create, talk about, and show my art after graduation. With the purchase of professional-grade equipment like the Juki Long Arm Quilting Machine and the GQ 10′ Quilting Frame, I will be able to produce more rapidly, and I will have more time to resolve ideas, learn, and experiment. The Windgate Fellowship will allow me to attend the Surface Design Association and the Textile Society of America conferences.
