To further explore the relationships between art and science, Amendt planned to research scientific imaging techniques at a medical or scientific research institution. Drawing abstractions of anatomical images from the brain to be able to create new strategies for the development of plates as well as the relationships among prints in installation form.

Gallery Hours: Closed — Reopening Fall 2019
The Center for Craft is providing emergency relief in response to Hurricane Helene, directing critical resources to the artists of Western North Carolina. Donate now to join us in this effort. The first round of relief funding for $500 grants to artists is now closed. Please check back for details on the second round of recovery funding that will launch soon.
The Center for Craft galleries are now open on a modified schedule Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Cowork at Center for Craft is open regular hours for registered Coworkers and 10 am - 4 pm for guests or day passes, offering reliable wifi, access to coffee, and community—free to makers in the region who were impacted.
