2020
Progressive art centers, orgs that provide an alternative to the historic isolation of institutions and group homes for disabled folks, have closed due to COVID. We propose a collaborative correspondence of 6 disabled artists who are unable to work in the communal art studios they depend on, and again face isolation and neglect. Materials will be received through the post, with works in progress sent through a structured rotation of artists (mailing arranged w affiliated organizations). With weekly supportive Zoom meetings (Nov-Mar), artists will be brought into meaningful creative connection.
