As a result of developing virtual course work due to COVID-19, I have come to appreciate the accessibility of the webinar as an educational tool. I will create a series of four webinar conversations that address issues faced by Black fiber artists within the textile community. Each of my conversations will consist of a discussion with a guest artist about their story, studio practice, and how COVID has affected their practice. Sessions will focus on the African American Quilt, Traditional African textiles in Contemporary Art, the Historical Narrative in Fibers, and the Embroidered Stitch.
